Safe Sex Styles Take To The Catwalk

condomdress1
Chinese models hit the catwalk in a bizarre range of colourful dresses made entirely from condoms last week, in a show by the countries biggest condom manufacturer.

As bubbles floated around the stage, the models showed off dressed, hats, fans, bikini's and even a wedding dress all made from our favourite form of protection as part of the Fourth China Reproductive Health New Technologies and Products Expo.

Intended to promote the use of condom's in the fight against HIV and AIDS, the show marked a significant change in China's views on the disease. As in many countries, HIV/AIDS was originally stigmatised as something that could only affect gay men, sex workers and drug users, and none of these people officially existed in communist China.

Condom's can do with all the promotion they can get in China, where it's estimated that no more than half of the young people will use condoms when they lose their virginity, and where sterilisation is the most popular form of birth control.
