Apple iRate over Ann Summers iGasm Ad
![]() The product in question is the iGasm, a device that hooks up to an mp3 player and vibrates in sync with the beat. The advert features a female silhouette on a neon pink background, with white wires travelling from her mp3 player and into her panties. AVN.com reports: Attorneys for Apple claim the poster to be a "blatant rip-off" of the company's own famous silhouette images used to promote the iPod - stating in a letter to the European adult retailer: "We hope this request to remove it immediately will prevent us having to consider further action." But Jacqueline Gold, the chief executive at Ann Summers, is laughing in the face of Apple's demands. Oh the Ann Summers website, she's quoted as joking, "Perhaps I can send them an iGasm to put a smile back on their faces!" |
